Osyka Civic Club Fall Fest #36

The 36th Fall Fest in Osyka, MS will be held on the traditional first weekend in October but that is all that will be traditional about this Fall Fest.  The Osyka Civic Club 36th annual Fall Fest will be “Pink” in honor of October being “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”.  This “It’s All About the Girls” fest will be the most fun for all ages, no parking fees, no gate fees, and plenty to eat and do.  All breast cancer survivors will be given a medal on pink ribbon to wear that weekend and send their picture in now and they will be featured on a 20 ft “pink” tree of honor the entire month of October in Osyka’s town park.  There will be a “Pink” Fun Walk/Run, a Pretty in Pink children’s pageant, a cook off featuring jambalaya, chili, and chicken wings and thighs, a Treasure Hunt for children 12 and under featuring $1,000 worth of prizes in the sand, all types of vendors, and there is even a boat race in kiddie pools that your child can purchase a kit on site to make their boat to race.  The fest is on Saturday, October 1, from 8:00am until 5:00pm and on Sunday, October 2, from noon until 5:00 pm with emphasis on gospel.
